After creating in-camera multiple exposured compositions with the Holga camera for several years, I was inspired by classic art and literature to take a more figurative approach. With New Venus, I am creating, updating, and ultimately questioning the idealized female in various art forms and cultures. The various subjects I chose were unrelated, but had all at one time or another made a very strong impression on me and creating these impressions photographically was as much of a challenge as it was exciting. All images are available for purchase as 5x5 limited edition C-prints.
