I have been creating photographic fine art for more than 15 years. Since graduating in 1991 from the renowned Pratt Institute of Art & Architecture with a Bachelor of Fine Art in Photography, I have continued freelancing, gravitating towards creative portraits for musicians and artists. My professional work has been featured on CD covers, PR slicks, commercial websites, magazines, and boxing posters. Experimenting with the Holga toy camera in 1998, I decided to renew my concentration on personal expression. Using the world, myth and fairy tales as my muse, I have photographed with the Holga extensively, creating traditional imagery as well as pushing the simple camera to its limits with more experimental series. Since 2002, I have exhibited steadily in various venues and fine art galleries, including a solo show in 2005 titled "new_venus." Images from this series were also exhibited in SOHO Photo Gallery in New York City and CameraArts magazine. Most recently, my work was published in the Focal Press book "Plastic Cameras: Toying With Creativity" by Michelle Bates.
